Description

The CM 1600 Series Rapid‑Temp® furnaces are the industry standard for lab and small production applications requiring fast thermal cycling and precise temperature control. Designed with graded high-purity alumina fiber insulation and double-wall stainless steel shells (with fan-cooled element terminals), these furnaces reach up to 1,600 °C without hotspotting, and cool rapidly for quick batch turnover.

The series includes front-loading and bottom-loading box models, along with horizontal and vertical tube configurations—each available in gas-sealed versions for inert atmospheres. Constructed with robust Kanthal Super 1700 molydisilicide elements, phase-angle SCR control with programmable PID, and Type B thermocouples, they deliver uniform heating and long-term durability.

Stock models range from compact 6″ × 6″ × 6″ up to 16″ × 16″ × 16″ box chambers; tube lengths and diameters are similarly scalable. Configurations also include thermal cycling, gas sealing, and custom control systems—making the 1600 Series perfectly suited for ceramics, metals, glass, catalyst prep, and research testing.
