Description
The Mellen SC11 Split Tube Furnace (model SC11‑1.63×18‑484) is purpose-built for precision lab and R&D applications, offering up to 1,250 °C capability in air—and confirmed to reliably run at 1,100 °C. With an 18″ (457 mm) heated zone and rugged coated frebrick vestibules, this furnace ensures durability across repeated cycles.
Its clamshell split-body design provides fast, safe access for inserting or retrieving tubes and probes. The furnace is lined with high-efficiency ceramic-fiber insulation for rapid heat-up and energy retention. A PID temperature controller (sold separately) ensures stable ramp/soak cycles with excellent thermal uniformity.
