Description
The Mellen SCR SC12.5R is a split-body, multi-zone tube furnace delivering up to 1,250 °C on a 0.75″ (19 mm) to 1.25″ (32 mm) bore with a 12″ (305 mm) heated zone. Its three-zone design (each 4″/100 mm) provides precise thermal control—ideal for ramp-soak processes, annealing, or gradient experiments.
The furnace uses ceramic-fiber insulation for high efficiency and is designed in a split-clamshell format, allowing fast tube or probe access. It supports horizontal mounting (vertical option available), and includes advanced PID control with zone-specific thermocouples to ensure tight ±1 °C uniformity within each zone. Additional options include gas-tight seals with alumina plugs and O-ring flanges for inert atmospheres.
