Description
The Mellen TD16 Solid Tube Furnace (TD16‑11×24‑147) is engineered for high-temperature thermal processing: up to 1,600 °C in vacuum/inert atmospheres, and 1,450 °C in air. Its 1.625″ internal bore and 24″ heated zone support a wide array of lab-scale applications.
Built with the patented Mellen Structural Advantage, this design ensures full-length Vulcan element support beneath the tube to eliminate sag—ideal for vacuum or inert gas heat treatments spanning longer durations.
The unit ships without a controller but is compatible with Mellen’s PS-series PID systems. It’s perfect for annealing, sintering, crystal growth prep, or materials R&D requiring precise, high-temperature vacuum or controlled atmosphere processing.
